Pacific Offshore Academy Prep Seminar 1

Presented by Alaska Airlines

All hands! One thing that makes Pacific Cup different from other major ocean races is our extensive support for our participants, including our seminars (the "Pacific Offshore Academy"). Our first seminar will take place October 9 at Richmond Yacht Club. It'll focus on some of the longer lead-time items you'll need to plan for to have your boat in ocean-ready condition. These will include presentations by experts and race veterans as well as breakout small group discussions to get detailed advice and answers to your questions.

Town Hall/Q&A re Equipment Requirements

March 30 at 7 pm, join the drafters (and enforcers) of the 2022 Pacific Cup Equipment Requirements. Find them at the documents page.

Like our prior races, we start with the US Sailing rules and make changes deemed appropriate to our race. Racers are required to start with a certain amount of water and finish with emergency stores. There are specific communication and emailing requirements. You need two properly-sized anchors with rodes. These are just a few examples.
